Bandit’s monster of a horizontal grinder is appropriately named, The Beast. It eats up the competitors’ equivalent grinders across the board with:
- Larger-diameter cuttermills
- Faster wheel speed
- More efficient processing of large diameter material
- Easier production of end products
Larger Cuttermill, Less Fuel Consumption
In comparison of The Beast against Morbark, Peterson, Vermeer, CBI/Terex, Rotochopper, and Diamond-Z, The Beast consumes less fuel to do even the biggest jobs. Using less fuel to do the same job saves consumers money and is better for the environment. The Bandit 2250R cutter wheel has a diameter of 20.75” while the Vermeer SC292 only has a diameter of 17”.
Faster Wheel Speed
Just like Bandit’s stump grinders, the Bandit horizontal grinders also feature a cutter wheel speed far superior to Vermeer and Rayco. The Bandit 2650 has a wheel speed of 1,700 rpm while the Vermeer SC852 and the Rayco RG70X have a wheel speed of only 930 rpm and 1,000 rpm respectively. The speed of Bandit’s standard Revolution cutter wheel provides superior grinding power.
Big Material, No Problem
Our competitors’ cuttermills use hammering action that limits the size of material their units can process. With The Beast’s patented cuttermill, the grinder uses more of a cutting action which allows it to process larger diameter material and less horsepower and fuel, causing less vibration and stress on the machine.
More End Products
Vermeer and Bandit’s other competitors’ grinders cannot produce the array of end products that Bandit can. Bandit’s 30-tooth and 60-tooth and knife style configurations can produce a wider size range of end products. Also, the built-in spray bar colors mulch simply and easily. Removal of the bar is not necessary.
